About Us
Where Craft Meets Conviction
Livia Ganelli exists at the intersection of two truths: excellence takes time, and real quality is made by hand.
Our founder spent decades producing work for the world's most demanding brands. He learned to recognize the difference between what's marketed as luxury and what actually is. In an industry increasingly shaped by algorithms and speed, he became drawn to the one thing technology cannot replicate—human artistry applied to materials that improve with age.
Handbags, he realized, are among the last bastions of true craft. A single artisan, working with full-grain Italian leather, bringing decades of apprenticed knowledge to every stitch. No automation. No shortcuts. Just hands, tools, and time.
The First Pieces
Livia Ganelli began with a partnership—a renowned Italian atelier whose master craftsmen work with the industry's most respected houses. When we reached out, we learned the artisan we wanted was now working from Dubai. So we went to Dubai. Not for convenience, but to work with him specifically—because craft follows the craftsman, not the address.
For the genesis collection, La Siena and La Firenze were brought to life there, using the same Italian leather and techniques that defined the atelier's reputation.
These first pieces are finite—limited by the time it took to establish the right partnership and process. They represent the moment an idea became tangible, when conviction met craft.
Made in Italy, Always
As the brand grows, all future production moves to the atelier's primary workshops in Italy, where these traditions were born and continue to be preserved. Every Livia Ganelli bag from here forward will carry that provenance.
But the earliest pieces—the ones made as we found our footing—remain distinctive. The foundation upon which everything else is built.
What We Stand For
We believe in objects designed to last decades, not seasons.
We believe in transparent partnerships with artisans who deserve recognition for what they do.
We believe in saying no to trends, to branding that shouts, to the manufactured urgency of "limited drops."
What we make is already limited—by the time it takes to make it well.
Looking Ahead
Livia Ganelli will continue to create handbags that honor the craftsmen who make them. We will grow deliberately, never faster than quality allows. Each new silhouette will be introduced only when it meets the standard set by those first two bags.
Because in the end, this isn't about fashion. It's about preserving something that matters—the knowledge in an artisan's hands, the beauty of materials that age with grace, and the quiet confidence that comes from carrying something made to endure.
